What is the first thing you do is to start a business? What are the important questions you need to start same would address? If these questions you have are at a loss to – have no fear! Here we are with a checklist of the most common questions that founders face. We recommend that you use this checklist as a to-do list. Remember, all items may not be for your company, so strike off those that are not for you and then start work on completing the applicable tasks.

? Decide which business structure you want to have your new business – a corporation, a sole proprietorship or a partnership.
? Write your business plan.
? Prepare a detailed marketing plan for your product or service.
? Research funding opportunities. Work on obtaining credit or other financing.
? Join your local Chamber of Commerce and other business appropriate.
? Check with your local and state regulatory agencies to obtain the necessary permits. These vary from state to state and even within a state.
? Choose a company and check whether the name is still available for use in your state and federal level.
? Register your company with your community (if required).
? Obtain a Federal Tax Identification Number, if installed.
? Find a place to conduct business. Research cost of leasing an office and / or tax deductions available when you start a home-based business.
? Research and buy business insurance.
? Hire Payroll Services, provided that you will have the staff.
? Printing of business cards, stationery, and invoice or shapes.
? Decide on business hours.
? Open a business checking account.
? Order office furniture.
? Creation of a business phone line.
? Purchase / lease computer equipment.
? Purchase / lease copiers or arrange for an account at a local copy shop.
? Research and computer software purchase.
? Choose an Internet Service Provider (ISP) and a host for your website.
? Choose a set of accounts and establish a record of accounts.
? Order office supplies.
? Sign up to receive a Federal Express, DHL or UPS account.
? Hire a lawyer and CPA, if possible.
